[Ok, I will assume that I overheard that Path was outside, then.]
I will hand Kyvaryn his pack and Mrs. Joseph anything I found in her family's room. I will then unsling my shield and draw my sword to be ready for whatever is outside.

"Mant, would you help me protect these fine people?"

"Ok, everyone, for your safety it is time we all go outside and join the rest."

I will then begin herding everyone outside trying to keep everyone together. I will stick to Joseph's family to protect them from any danger as we go outside. When we get to the door, I'll stop to take in what is going on outside.

"What the...? Mant, protect the woman and children inside."

I will jump down into the courtyard from the steps and charge the beast. Shield first with sword hand bracing the shield (shield bash). Hopefully I can knock the beast over or at least force it to drop Path.
-Sven

(If the opportunity presents while it's near Erdath, I'll swing at the creature.)

Now that I can see where the creature is at, I'll keep myself between it & Erdath. Holding my club in front of me, I'll scream at the creature...

"DROP THOSE PEOPLE.....YOU.....HIDEOUS...THING!!!"

Not sure he wants to attack, given his condition, Jigimy wonders where everyone else is. But unable to avert his eyes from the immediate danger. He assumes a defensive position.

(OCC: No chance that bardic knowledge helps me identify what the creature might be, Des?)

Another flash of light, and the next thing one can see is the monstrosity standing in front of the open door of the stable, Path's beaten body in one, the lifeless body of the innkeeper in her other claw... [Path: No Damage, but fear check...]

Following your prayer, the ground on which the beast stands, seems to carbonize, but the beast stays unharmed.

All over the innyard and in the house, the whispering voice of a child can be heard in the wind...

Arrogant mortals... You... Should worship... me... But then... why doesn't that... Pain... go...

[Fear check. What do you mean? Don't you roll those things? At any rate, I rolled a 6 on my own, so I'll suppose I failed it. I will assume a DC of around 15 so that I suffer a moderate effect. But whatever. ]

In the arms of the apparition, Path attempts to struggle himself free, screaming. Because he can't reach his weaponry, he hits the beast with his fist as hard as he can. The beast doesn't seem to be troubled by this all too much...

Path attempts to do the foggy thing and escape.

------
If this works, he incarnates again about 50 feet away from the monster, running away screaming. He stumbles over a branch, picks himself up and flees into the inn.

From Draussa:

Frozen with fear for awhile, mouth agape, Draussa watches in horror as the Wraith seems to go through people like a tsunami through a landscape. She must do something, she thinks, but bravery was never her strongsuit. I must move, move, move, dammit.

Watching the newcomer's attempt to turn the creature, she wonders....should I try?

She grasps her holy symbol tighter and turns towards the creature. "Anandouran Cetchumanoun.......Spelltrinium co-opernum noumanoum......Pathmeer......Treasurastum nighlongounum." Please, please, please Pathmeer, she thinks, please make this creature be weakened.

[If the monster drops Path and the inn keeper to face me (or if Path disappears from her claws) I will stop my headlong charge and approach more cautiously with sword and shield ready to fight.

IN THE BATTLE AGAINST THE VOICE'S "MOTHER":

Draussa wrote:

Nooooooooooo!!!

Draussa, an everyone standing in her immediate reach [Kyvaryn, Gila and Kalen] are forced on their knees because of an intense voice yelling in their heads.

This is the last time you offended me, mortal scum!

I SHALL ARISE!

A freezing cold wind suddenly begins to blow through the yard. Snowflakes and dirt are blown from the ruins crags and blend the combatants' sight.

And in this chaos, Sven, Path, Mandle and Jigimy in a mortal combat against a bloodthirsty enemy.

All Path can hear is the angry roaring of the monster behind him as he teleports.

Crossing the way of Draussa, he climbs the inn's stair and... plunges right into Rowell.

"Holy Gods! Didn't I just lock you down there?!"

The mercenary is so baffled that he stumbles back, giving Path the opportunity for one more action...

When Sven arrives, Path is already out of the bestiality's reach. Sven crosses the undead's way before it can plunge on Jigimy. and in this moment, Mandle attacks from the back, cutting the former woman's body deeply.

But what is that, the blade Mandle was using flackers of electricity and suddenly feels very heavy...

The hellish woman in the meantime dodges Sven's guard, punching him right in the face. [1 DAM]

[Jigimy might recall tales from sorcerous swamp wives - hags, but is very sure that this is noone of that species.]

Diving to escape the creature's attack before Sven stepped in, Jigimy gets up from the ground. He thinks to himself...(finally...a chance to hit something with my precious club!)

I move to the side of the creature and swing with all my might at it's leg, behind the kneecap, hoping to throw it off balance.

[ knew this would happen... ]

"Rowell! Outside! It's going to kill us all!..."
Path runs further up the stairs. If Rowell doesn't let him pass, he pushes him aside with force.

I will stay in front of her and fight defensively while trying to keep her attention focused on me. If she every turns away from me, I will switch to normal attack mode, hopefully getting the flank bonus.

"We've got her where we want her. Everyone get around to her sides or behind her with the new guy. [Sorry, Mandle, Sven wasn't there when you were introduced.] Rowell, get your men moving or she will kill us all one by one."

From Draussa:

I will attempt to arise to my knees and surround the creature with the rest of my comrades. Am I able to do this? I will ready my sheild and Mace if I am
